NC Cooperative Extension announces "Starting an NC Food Business" Workshop

NC Cooperative Extension Food Business Workshop

Local and state partners from NC Cooperative Extension, NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and NC Environmental Health will discuss food processing and regulations related to selling food products. Information about home food processing, kitchen inspections, acidified foods, and value-added foods (such as jams, salsa, pickles, dog treats, etc.) will be presented. Participants will learn regulatory aspects of catering, food trucks, and selling at farmers markets.


This workshop is offered at no cost to participants and designed for entrepreneurs interested in starting a food business in North Carolina.
