A 17 year old juvenile was the driver of the vehicle and his passenger was identified as Jahlile Monroe Smith, 22 years old, both of Charlotte. During the course of their investigation the Deputies located approximately 76 dosage units of MDMA or ecstasy as well as a misdemeanor amount of marijuana and items of paraphernalia.

Smith was arrested for Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Felony Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Misdemeanor Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance. Hours later Deputy Velazquez was dispatched to the same area on Brawley School Road in reference to a stolen vehicle. After gathering surveillance videos it was determined that Smith and the juvenile were the suspects in this offense as well.
